Health Services and Treatment



Numerous health services and treatments are available through the Worcester County Health Department. Clients may receive adult or child counseling, communicable disease testing and treatment, drug and alchol abuse services, early care for new mothers, regular immunizations for children and adults, reproductive health education and services, smoking cessation program. Gambling Treatment

Communicable Disease

altA major component of this service is to prevent and educate about communicable diseases. These diseases include but are not limited to: sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), tuberculosis (TB) and HIV/AIDS.

Human Rabies Exposure

altThe Communicable Disease Program works in conjunction with the Environmental Health Program in providing tracking, follow-up and guidance/referrals in cases involving possible exposure(s) to the rabies virus through an animal bite or exposure.
